Overview
The latest G20 3-series generation retains the familiar Bimmer styling cues and proportions. Lines are now sharper giving the vehicle a sportier more aggressive appearance. For 2023, the 3-series receieved a mid-cycle facelift to keep it looking fresh; exterior changes include new headlights, new bumpers, and new alloy wheels. Inside, the updated 3-series gets a revamped dashboard, it features a new digital instrument cluster and infotainment touchscreen that are integrated into a single floating panel.
The standard 3-series is offered with a 154hp 2.0-liter TwinPower turbo four mill (318i Sedan & 318i Touring), and a 374hp 3.0-liter TwinPower turbocharged inline-6 unit (M340i xDrive Touring). Both powerplants are mated to an eight-speed Steptronic automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard on the four bangers, while all-wheel drive is standard on the six cylinder variant.
M3 Competition Sedan and xDrive Touring (wagon)
The high-performance M3 Competition continues unchanged, it is powered by a 3.0-liter M TwinPower Turbo inline-6 gasoline powerplant which produces 510hp and 650Nm of torque, this motor mated to an eight-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission. The rear-wheel drive M3 Competition Sedan can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 3.9 seconds, while the all-wheel drive M3 Competition xDrive Touring can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in only 3.6 seconds.
