Honda first entered the local four-wheeled market with the fourth generation Honda Civic at the beginning of the 90s. In the following years it established itself as an affordable sporty compact car, this image was further cemented by the iconic high-revving SiR which was introduced in the late 90s. While the Civic evolved into a more mature and more practical sedan in the 2000s, Honda has infused the latest iteration of the Honda Civic with some of the sportiness found in earlier models. 

Honda's all-new eleventh generation Honda Civic features sharper lines for a sportier and more refined look. It has the classic long hood - short trunk proportions commonly associated with coupes and premium sports sedans. Up front it receives the brand’s new corporate face which is dominated by a slim grille flanked by tapered LED headlights. Moving on to its sides, Honda gave it flowing lines for a neater appearance. At the rear are new horizontal taillights, this gives the new Honda Civic a distinctive light signature.

Inside, the sporty theme continues with a nicely laid out driver-oriented dashboard which now features a horizontal layout and a floating tablet-like touchscreen.

All variants now get a 1.5-liter VTEC Turbo inline-4 motor which produces 176hp and an impressive 240Nm of twist. This motor is mated to a continuously variable transmission; the RS variant gets paddle shifters.
