Overview

The Tucson is all-new for 2022. The Korean carmaker has given its compact SUV a complete makeover. The Tucson features the brand's new "Sensuous Sportiness" design language. Its futuristic styling combines lines and angles to form a unique surface. Up front it has the distinctive "Parametric Jewel Pattern Grille" with hidden LED daytime running lights. Low-set headlights complete the face. Moving to the sides, it has wide angular wheel arches for that athletic look. At the back, it has LED taillights connected by an LED light strip. Inside the futuristic theme continues on the dashboard. It has a hoodless fully digital gauge cluster and an integrated 8-inch touchscreen on the center of the dashboard.

Two engine options are offered in the Philippine market, a 2.0-liter CRDi oil burner which pumps out 183hp and 416Nm of torque, and a 2.0-liter gasoline mill which makes 154hp and 192Nm of torque. The diesel variant comes with an eight-speed automatic, while the gas variant gets a six-speed automatic tranny. Front-wheel drive is standard.
