The S4 is JAC's entry into the subcompact segment, specifically the larger end of the segment which slots between traditional subcompacts and compact SUVs.  It's a modern well-equipped little ute with contemporary styling. While it has a predominantly curvy exterior, the squared-off wheel arches and matt black lower cladding give it a rugged look.

Under its hood is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine which produces 147hp and 210Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels either through a six-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission.
